Trace Adkins Defends Wearing Confederate Flag Earpiece at Tree Lighting   Leave a comment

What’s your favorite feature of the radio accessory? Personally, I much like the design job – It is cooler than an Inuit’s underpants!

Country singer Trace Adkins is defending wearing a confederate flag decorated earpiece during the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting ceremony.

The decision to sport the earpiece, http://www.investirdansunprojetimmobilier.com/?p=71, sparked criticism across the Web by those who view the confederate flag as a symbol of racism and oppression. Adkins posted this note on his personal blog: “As a proud American I object to oppression of any kind. To me, the battle flag represents remembrance of my Southern lineage – I am a descendant of Confederate soldiers who followed that flag into battle.

I advocate for the preservation of America’s battlefields and honest conversation about our Country’s history.

To those who view the flag as a symbol of racism, that was not my message and I did not intend offense.”
